Benefits Of Being A Working Mom
I have to admit that being a working mom is not easy. There are many challenges that come with motherhood on its own and adding your work life to that can be hard to juggle at times. I personally see myself beyond my motherhood role and going to work and doing all other things I love is what makes me feel fulfilled with the life I’m leading.
Here are some benefits of being a working mom:
You can contribute financially to your family
Mommy space is all about encouraging moms to continue to grow and thrive in motherhood and working is one way to do just that. It gives you the ability to contribute financially to your home. Having financial independence allows you to plan for a future you desire and it gives you the room to pursue your goals , whether related to your work or not.
You get time away from your kids
I love my kids but I also need time away from them and my work gives me that opportunity. Being at work allows me to focus on myself without worrying about chores or attending to my little ones’ needs. Work gives the opportunity to interact with other adults in the work environment and it opens your eyes to other aspects of life beyond the home.
You are a positive role model to your kids
Being a working mom is all about balancing your home and work life. The beautiful thing about this is that your kids get to see that women can be mothers but also have thriving careers and succeed in both roles. It builds their confidence to believe that they also have it within them to achieve the same.
You have different experiences to share at home
By spending part of the day at work , working moms get an opportunity to converse with other adults and get to share their thoughts on issues they cannot discuss with their kids. At the end of the day when you meet at home as a family, you have different stories to share. Not only do your kids get to share about their day at school; you can also share about your work day and fun experiences your kids might enjoy to hear.
Being a working moms has its lows like having limited time to spend with your kids and missing out on milestones. You are also tired most of the time but pursing a life outside the home is something you do to fulfil you and it’s important because every mom’s dreams and goals do matter.
